Forskrift om forurensningslovens anvendelse på radioaktiv forurensning og radioaktivt avfall
§ 2. Definisjoner
radioaktivt stoff: stoff som sender ut alfa-, beta- eller gammastråling, radioaktiv forurensning: stråling fra radioaktive stoffer som er eller kan være til skade eller ulempe for miljøet. Dette omfatter også stråling fra naturlig forekommende radioaktive stoffer når menneskelig aktivitet fører til økt stråleeksponering av mennesker eller miljø, radioaktivt avfall: løsøregjenstander eller stoffer som regnes som avfall etter forurensingsloven § 27 første ledd, og inneholder eller er forurenset med radioaktive stoffer med spesifikk aktivitet som er større eller lik verdiene angitt i vedlegg I bokstav a, deponeringspliktig radioaktivt avfall: radioaktivt avfall med større eller lik verdier for total aktivitet og spesifikk aktivitet enn angitt i vedlegg I bokstav b.
