I believe the proposed changes to the voting rules in Longyearbyen go against the foundation of democracy, and would shut out a large percentage of local voices and opinions. Longyearbyen is a unique place because of its international community, and changing the voting rules is an intentional harm to this community. If people are left without a voice in their own local government, it would be shameful.
